Most calcite specimens form this locality are spheroidal groupings. This specimen exhibits a very large focal crystal 13.5 cm long nestled in a microcrystalline mass with several other prismatic calcite crystals poking out.
This specimen was once in the Rene Triebel Collection. Some 70 choice specimens from this collection went to the Mary and Gardner Miller collection. The specimen is in excelent condition with no damage. A fine specimen from an offbeat locality.
